On this page you will find information about the different skills in Runescape
Every skills alows you to gain the ability to do a certain thing, and all the skills advances are independant of each other. For example getting higher levels in mining means that you will be able to mine better ores, but it does not give you the ability to make weapons out of them (this requires smithing).
